Paws4Life has saved more than 11,500 dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens since our founding in 2016. This success is due to the partnerships we've established with no-kill shelters located in the Midwest and Northeast parts of the United States, and with North Shore Animal League America, the world's largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization.

North Shore is located on Long Island in Port Washington, New York. With their generous assistance and unwavering support since September 2020, we have thus far been able to send 93 transports to Long Island, saving the lives and finding forever homes for more than 6,000 homeless pets from North Louisiana and East Texas. We treasure this relationship and the prospects it offers to expand our work in the future.

 

Our team implemented a foster program in 2023 for areas in East Texas burdened by an overpopulation of homeless, abandoned, and in-need dogs and puppies. Many of these areas have no animal shelters or lifesaving programs, and our generous foster families provide interim homes for the pets in this region pending their transport or adoption.

 

We received our second pet food, dog and cat vaccination grant in March 2024 for needy pet owners in our region. These generous grants allow us to provide free vaccines as part of our community educational "Healthy Pet Clinics" in North Louisiana and East Texas. In addition to our grant-based spay/neuter programs, we have applied for grants to fund our growing foster program.
